Course Details

This course is over a weekend (Saturday-Sunday) with the option to add on an additional day to explore the city.

This allows the classes to be interactive, whilst ensuring the teacher is able to support each individual.

Course Schedule
Day 1 - Business English

✔ Applied business skills, including meetings and accounting/finance.
✔ Meetings - interactive sessions where you will work in groups on a meeting, follow a case study, develop skills and learn key language to be used in business meetings.

✔ Work in small groups on a task - develop speaking/listening skills and learn key language to be used during professional calls.
Day 2 - Business English

✔ Enjoy a delicious breakfast before a day of presentations and feedback.

✔ Applied Business Skills - problem solving, giving recommendations, language for presenting, business correspondence and finance.
✔ Your task for the assessment will be set.

✔ You will be given time to prepare, followed by an assessed meeting and the opportunity to present your case study to a panel.
✔ You will be given feedback on your presentation and speaking skills, along with feedback on your use of grammar and language.
✔ You will then be guided through developing your individual development plan, for your future learning.
Optional extra day - Tour of the City
We will explore as much as we can of the city. Bring some comfortable walking shoes and be ready for a packed day of taking in Manchester’s history, culture, sports and music scene. Visit our blog to find out more about Manchester’s food scene, Lowry, canal system, music, football and industrial history.
